Business Development Representative (BDR)

Job description

As a member of our Dubai or Abu Dhabi office, and reporting to the VP Sales, the Business Development Representative is responsible for liaising between the Marketing and Sales teams to identify new potential customers and revenue streams.

The Business Development Representative will support our Account Executives and Account Directors across multiple geographic territories. You will contact potential customers who have already expressed an interest in learning more about ProTenders, and use your communication/listening skills to identify/qualify new sales opportunities. Key accountabilities are to set a specific number of qualified meetings per month, as well as to support revenue growth, strategic customer acquisition, and customer satisfaction.

Position Accountability

  • Contact inbound leads and qualify potential sales opportunities
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Incorporate product, industry and competitive knowledge
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Assist in creating proposals for potential customers
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Report to the VP Sales on a weekly basis
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM
  • Building trust with others by acting authentically and with integrity


  • BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture or relevant field
  • Previous experience in a Sales, Marketing or Customer Service oriented role
  • Excellent English communication skills - spoken and written
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • First-language Arabic, Malayalam or Hindi would be an advantage
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Hubspot) would be an advantage
  • BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
